Since 2019, we , along with members of the rural village of Guaraunos in the state of Sucre, Venezuela, have been providing two healthy cooked meals and a healthy snack a day for 100 children. The results have been transformational for the children and community. Help us do more!

For the price of a coffee, your monthly £5 donation will provide a child a week’s worth of nutritious meals, protecting them from debilitating effects of malnutrition.A £20 donation feeds a child for a whole month.
The Problem
- A prolonged economic crisis has left 1 in 3 Venezuelan families food insecure and 26% of children malnourished, according to UN estimates.
- A healthy food basket in Venezuela costs a family of four $500 a month, well above the average wage of $175.
- Children in rural areas, economically underdeveloped prior to the crisis, have suffered disproportionate levels of malnutrition.
- The consequences aren’t just short-term hunger, but long-term damage to muscle, cardio-respiratory, and gastrointestinal functions, weakened immune systems, poor brain development, and psychosocial disorders.
Our Progress To Date
- 100 children in the rural village of Guaraunos provided 2 healthy meals and a snack a day.
- A dramatic improvement in school attendance, and mental and physical health amongst the children of the village.
- Malnutrition rates amongst children in Guaraunos are now well below the national average.
- Reduced financial and mental strain on households.
- A sense of renewed hope and optimism amongst the community.

We are an award-winning charity founded in the UK in 2016 present in 4 countries and with over 30 volunteers. With a long and successful track record of helping hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans through our various programs, we have been working with the IOM, a UN agency, and other multinational organisations to leverage the impact of diaspora organisations. The organization’s strict non-political affiliation, adds to its reach and impact. Healing Venezuela is proud to be working with partners across various states within Venezuela and the most prestigious health institutions in the country. With just 5% going towards administration, the rest of your donation will go directly to help those in need.
