Hospital Infrastructure Improvement

why?

With a staggering 80% of medical equipment non-functional in state hospitals, access to life-saving treatments and essential diagnoses is severely limited. Even relatively inexpensive repairs, such as fixing air conditioning units in blood banks, can be a matter of life or death, yet these systems often remain out of service for years due to a lack of resources. Equipment upgrades are exceedingly rare, forcing doctors to rely on makeshift solutions and constant minor repairs to keep outdated machines running—until they eventually fail completely, leaving patients without critical care.

how we have helped

Since 2017, we have repaired or donated 45 pieces of essential medical equipment to state hospitals and public benefit institutions across Venezuela. These include dental units, gastroscopes, endoscopes, cardiograph software, freezers, and orthopaedic saws, all of which play a crucial role in providing specialised and emergency medical care. By restoring functionality to hospital facilities, we have directly improved access to vital medical services for +250,000 people, many of whom would otherwise have been left without treatment.
