FROM HUMANITARIAN AID TO SUSTAINABILITY
leaving a positive legacy
Although the situation in Venezuela remains critical, our Food Security Programme has successfully achieved its goal of dramatically reducing malnutrition rates in the areas where we operate. As a result, a pilot programme was launched in 2023 to provide women in the village of Guaraunos with training and supplies to establish their own micro-farms. This programme has been a resounding success, and with our support, the village’s economy has been strengthened to the point where we can now conclude the Food Security Program. We are confident that, in addition to ‘giving them the fish,’ we have ‘taught them how to fish.’
